Having rendered and promoted humanitarian services through community development programmes, advocacy against social ills, supported right government policies and recognized humanitarian actors for over 13 years among other services that we render within Nigeria and beyond, HIPCOD since its incorporation has been serving as an ocean of ideas in strategic humanitarian service, rendezvous for achievers in development, linkage bridge for knowledge for peace and community development scholars, an inspiration house for the humanitarian actors/agents, and reliable support to the less privileged (especially the old people, abandoned minors, prison inmates and abandoned hospital patients).
To inspire and motivate genuine advancement in nation building through peace, humanitarian and community development as rational strategies to impact the economy and humanity.

Objectives
Determining what standards of knowledge and skills are to be attained by persons to be inducted as members of the Humanitarian Institute for Peace and Community Development, raising those standards from time to time as circumstances may permit.
In addition to recognizing these outstanding individuals, organizations and programmes, we further encourage volunteer outreach efforts to improve humanity through community development in underserved areas.
To annually hold merit awards to recognize individuals, organizations and programmes that have immensely contributed to human development.
To have a custom-designed and ready-made learning and development solutions for humanitarian and development organisations in other to achieve an equitable and progressive future.
Our Story
Once upon a time, there was a group of individuals who shared a common goal – to promote peace and development in the world. They believed that every person, regardless of their background, deserved to live in a safe and prosperous environment. With this vision in mind, they founded the Humanitarian Institute for Peace and Development. Through their tireless efforts, the institute has become a beacon of hope for those who seek to make a positive impact on the world. Today, the institute continues to work towards its mission of creating a better future for all.

SIR IKE WILLIE-NWOBU
BOARD MEMBER/CHAIRMAN
Sir Ike Willie-Nwobu is President of the International Federation on Ageing (IFAN) Nigeria. Born few decades ago in Nigeria, He has traversed the world working with different organizations and governments to make deep rooted impact on humanity and institutions. He is a renowned resource person and consultant to reputed conglomerates and international organization.
ALHAJI (DR.) AMINU MAMMAN LAU
(BOARD MEMBER)Dr. Aminu Mamman Lau is Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Taraba Savings and Loans Limited. He has been an active player in the nation’s banking sector, where he has carved a niche for himself.
Born on the 27th of December, 1966 in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State. The quest for knowledge led him to Lau Central Primary School from 1973 to 1979. His secondary school education was at Government Science Secondary School, Jalingo from 1979 to 1984. He was a student of College of Education, Jalingo from 1985 to 1988 where he obtained Nigeria Certificate of Education (Maths/Physics) in 1988.
To satisfy his desire for more knowledge, Dr. Aminu Lau enrolled into the University of Abuja, where he studied from 1996 to 2002 for his B.Sc (Public Administration). He merited his Master Certificate in Business Management and Leadership from London Graduate School in 2020. It is interesting to note that the Commonwealth University, London honoured him with Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) specializing in Banking and Finance (Honourary Causa).
He is an Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators Fellow.
Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management Member.
DR. EMMANUEL CHUKWUDI NWOGBO
BOARD MEMBER
Dr. Emmanuel Chukwudi Nwogbo is a renowned Nigerian philanthropist whose contribution to national development cannot be over-emphasized. He is one business guru who has recorded uncommon achievements in the private business sector to the extent that his company; Alfa Centauri Group need no introduction in Nigeria and beyond.
A patriotic Nigerian with a heart of gold, Dr. Nwogbo has continued to distinguish himself as an achiever in the nation’s development through numerous humanitarian activities, industrialization, unemployment reduction and exemplary positive moral building. He equally stands tall as a good ambassador of Nigeria outside the country with Alfa Centauri Limited products that are dominating some African countries.
Dr. Emmanuel Nwogbo hails from Anambra State of Nigeria and had his primary and secondary education in Anambra and Lagos States respectively.
He started his career in 1987as a Trainee Field Engineer in Gearhart Nigeria Limited; an oil service company and later attended the Open Hole School in Fort Worth Texas where he received training in Reservoir and Well Completion Engineering, after a few years he moved to Jos Hansen & Soehne Nigerian limited.
Presently he is an International Businessman and a Certified Management Consultant with interests in Project Management, Equipment and Construction in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry.
MR. SAMUEL UGOH
BOARD MEMBER/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
Humanitarian Institute for Peace and Community Development (HIPCOD)Mr. Samuel Ugoh is a practical humanitarian who has seen to the initiation, execution and perfect commissioning of positive impactful humanitarian projects in Nigeria. He is an authority in high profiled event management, special publication, image boasting and media consulting.
A seasoned Journalist with close to two decades of experience in field research & documentation, prolific in writing, and excellent understanding of Nigerian components with vast travelling experience.
Extensive experience in identifying variations in human/ community needs and effective implementation of solutions to strategic needs that uplifts humanity welfare.
Deep inter-organizational linkage and interpersonal skills with clear understanding of clients concerns in the areas of publications, human projections and profiling.
Extensive experience in working/interfacing with individuals and groups in order to develop aligned solutions that will meet project objectives (Local and Internationals Organizations inclusive).
Vast experience in Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) management, humanitarian service advocacy and efficient service delivery under donors’ support, conflict resolution, and promotional media consultancy.
A strong constructive critic of societal ills.
PROF. JACOB MBOYA WAPA
BOARD MEMBER
Prof. Jacob Mboya Wapa is a Professor of Soil Chemistry and Fertility and the Director of Servicom at University of Abuja.
Born on 14th April 1965 to peasant farmers Pa Wapa Mboya and Ma Aisa Ali in Pying Village Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.
Prof. Jacob Mboya Wapa is one man whose divine mandate among others include to imbibe the needed knowledge into the future leaders for national development, to stand in the gap for those who cannot speak up for themselves, and to serve as a source of inspiration/helping hand for the hopeless in the academic community especially in the university of Abuja where he is famous for his creative ingenuity and high moral stand.
His divine call to prominence and excellence could not be stopped by poverty, status and other human challenges. Divinely directed and assisted in every phase of his life challenges, Prof. Jocob Wapa is standing today as a beacon of hope for those under frustration.
Prof. Wapa has more than twenty paired review Journal publications in reputable Journals both national and international. One of his international publications that exposed his academic achievements is the research article published by an American Journal, Journal of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences titled, Effects of Combining Chemical Fertilizer and Three Different Organic Manure on the Growth and Yield of Maize in Sub-Sahelian Savanna, Nigeria sponsored by the American Institute of Research for Policy Development.
As he dedicated his life to the service of his nation and humanity, he is also dedicated to his religion and service to God.
